President Yoweri Museveni has fired long-trusted Chief of Defense Forces Wilson Mbadi, replacing him with son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Museveni also named Samuel Okiding as Muhoozi’s deputy in changes that have come shortly after expanding the mandate of the army commander.
The changes also came on the same night the President shuffled his cabinet, naming two key Muhoozi supporters in the new lineup.
