Afrigo Band musician Matovu Moses killed in suspected attack

Afrigo Band musician Matovu Moses has died after he was allegedly attacked by unknown assailants in Kampala on Thursday morning.

Police at Kabalagala said they had registered a case of suspected murder following the incident, which occurred at Kibuli Market Zone B in Makindye Division, Kampala District.

According to police, Matovu was attacked by unknown assailants and sustained injuries. He was rushed to Kibuli Hospital for medical attention but later succumbed to his injuries.

Police said a task team had been dispatched to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack and establish the identities of those responsible.

Efforts were also underway to identify and apprehend the suspected assailants.

Police said further details would be released as investigations progress.

The incident has raised concern among musicians and residents in the area, although police have not yet disclosed a possible motive for the attack.
