According to statement from the SH-ACU and a post by IGP Byakagaba, the consultative meeting aimed to discuss the effective management of gold and other precious minerals transactions in Uganda. 

 Mrs. Irene Bateebe, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, chaired the meeting, ensuring that all stakeholders had a voice. 

Brig. Gen. Henry Isoke, Head of the State House Anti Corruption Umit, brought his expertise to the table, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability in the industry 

Other notable attendees included officials from the Uganda Revenue Authority, Airport Security, and the State House Investors Unit led by Col Edith Nakalema.

 The meeting’s atmosphere was collaborative, with all stakeholders eager to share their insights and work together to enhance the management of precious minerals transactions.

 Participants promised to share collective expertise and commitment to improve Uganda’s minerals industry for a brighter, more transparent economy.
