KCCA, Anti-Graft Unit Tackle Illegal Construction

KAMPALA — In a move to streamline city operations and combat irregularities, a high-level delegation from the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) paid a courtesy call on the Head of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, Brig Gen Henry Isoke, today.

Led by Hajat Sharifah Buzeki, the KCCA team included Engineering Director Eng Justus Akankwasa, Physical Planning Director Vincent Atenyi Byendamira, and Deputy Director of Legal Affairs Caleb Mugisha. The leaders discussed strengthening coordination and collaboration to enhance the delivery of their respective mandates.

A key focus of the meeting was reviewing the progress of ongoing investigations by the Anti-Corruption Unit into allegations of illegal construction across the city. To ensure technical precision, the meeting was also attended by Mr. Patrick Kateeba, the Acting Executive Secretary of the National Building Review Board (NBRB), and the board’s Manager of Investigations, Eng Joseph Acai, who are providing expert assistance in the probe
