Anti-Corruption Unit Charges Land Fraud Suspect in Mityana

Mityana land fraud suspect Lutwama Isaac Mugandazi has been charged with fraudulent procurement of a certificate of title, forgery, and conspiracy to commit a felony. The charges, brought by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit in collaboration with the CID and ODPP, allege that Lutwama conspired to forge powers of attorney and illegally obtain land titles for several plots in the Busunju Block 56, selling a portion that belonged to an 83-year-old widow. He has been remanded until October 25, 2025.
