Anti-Corruption Chiefs Vow to Strengthen Joint Efforts in High-Level Meeting

KAMPALA — In a move to bolster the national crackdown on graft, the Head of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit (SH-ACU), Brig Gen Henry Isoke, paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Mr. Lino Anguzu, yesterday evening.
The high-level engagement at the ODPP offices focused on deepening the strategic partnership between the two investigative and prosecutorial bodies. Brig Gen Isoke formally congratulated Mr. Anguzu on his recent appointment by H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, praising the DPP’s commitment to maintaining the robust systems that facilitate inter-agency cooperation.
“The commitment of the ODPP staff is vital in sustaining the positive working relations we enjoy today,” Brig Gen Isoke noted, before briefing the DPP on the current operational dynamics and mandates of the Anti-Corruption Unit.
In response, Mr. Anguzu lauded the SH-ACU for its “outstanding efforts” in tackling corruption. He called for a refinement of existing working mechanisms to maximize impact, stressing that the future of the fight depends on seamless coordination and collective teamwork.
