Battleline drawn as Bobi Wine fires Mpuuga from NUP leadership

The National Unity Platform (NUP) president, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu (Bobi Wine), has suspended Mathias Mpuuga from the party structures over allegations of corruption.
A Thursday letter by Bobi Wine said Mpuuga was sacked as vice president in charge of the central region with immediate effect.
Mpuuga’s trouble arises from a meeting at Parliament in which leaders awarded themselves sh1.7b as service award. Mpuuga who attended the same meeting received sh500m.
The now Parliamentary Commissioner has defended the plot, saying everything was done legally.
Mpuuga recently called a press conference and said no one could fire him from NUP as he was one of the founding members.
Below is Bobi’s full letter.
