Justice Served for Land Dispute

30 May 2025

NAKIFUMA. The Nakifuma Magistrates Court has convicted and sentenced two individuals, Nanfuka Christine and Nasejje Halima, to community service and fines, with a one-year custodial sentence in default.

The duo pleaded guilty to disobeying lawful orders related to a land dispute in Nkonge Village, Mukono district.

According to the prosecution, between February and April 2025, the accused unlawfully denied Nansereko Zaina access to her land, defying a court order that upheld her right to use her portion of the property.

Despite repeated warnings, they continued to harass the victim and hired individuals to violently block her from accessing the land.

The State House Anti-Corruption Unit, CID, and Office of the Director Public Prosecutions worked together to arraign the accused.

A third suspect, Kirya Patrick, is also part of the case.
