Businessman and Ugandan Rwandese community leader Ssabavandimwe, popularly known as “Babandimwe,” stood out during President Paul Kagame’s swearing-in ceremony in Kigali.

Gashumba, the founder and owner of Mali Group of Companies, was specially invited to and attended the event, representing all his constituencies with distinction.

In Kigali, he leveraged the opportunity to network and connect further, seizing photo opportunities with notable guests, including Kenyan opposition figure Raila Odinga and host President Kagame.

Uganda had a significant presence at the function held at the Amahoro Stadium, with notable figures such as the first son and army commander Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba attending. President Kagame, who secured a landslide victory in last month’s election, was sworn in for a new five-year term, extending his nearly twenty-five-year rule.

Amidst his high approval rating, Western and regional leaders commend Kagame for his role in ending the 1994 genocide and transforming Rwanda into an investment and aid hub.

During the ceremony, President Kagame emphasized that his renewed mandate signifies the commencement of more rigorous efforts, prompting thousands of attendees clad in T-shirts bearing the national flag’s yellow, green, and blue colors.
