KAMPALA. Brig. Gen. Henry Isoke, Head of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, hosted the newly appointed Inspector General of Government, Hon. Lady Justice Aisha Naluzze Batala.

This courtesy call yesterday in Kampala served as a strategic platform to reinforce the national integrity system through enhanced institutional synergy.

The primary focus of their discussion centered on strengthening collaboration and increasing coordination between their respective offices.

Brig. Gen. Isoke congratulated the IGG on her appointment by H.E. President Kaguta Museveni, reaffirming a steadfast commitment to a unified front against graft.

To align their efforts, Isoke provided a comprehensive briefing on the SH-ACU’s mandate, detailing the unique functions and strategic operations currently deployed to combat systemic injustices.

In a clear signal of her administration’s direction, Lady Justice Batala emphasized that her tenure would prioritize the prosecution of suspects to ensure effective deterrence. This shift toward punitive accountability aims to send a strong message to would-be offenders.

The meeting, attended by senior technical leads and consultants from both institutions, marks a pivotal step toward a more synchronized and formidable anti-corruption framework, prioritizing collective action over isolated efforts .
