BREAKING: Govt suspends new harsh traffic rules

Following public uproar, the government has suspended the latest traffic regulations that saw hundreds of motorists fined millions of shillings.

The new rules dictated strict adherence to low speed limits up to 30km/h in urban settings while restricting drivers to less than 100km/h on expressway and dual carriages.

Highways were restricted to less than 70km/h, angering motorists.

Effective midnight tonight, the implementation of automated Express Penalty System [EPS Auto] will be temporarily suspended following a comprehensive review.
